The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) declared that Ashishkumar Chauhan has been appointed as managing director (MD) and CEO by the company’s shareholders (CEO).
The nomination of Mr. Ashishkumar Chauhan as Managing Director & CEO was approved by the NSE Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EOGM), according to a statement from the organization.
On August 11, the EOGM, and 99.99% of voters approved the appointment.
Chauhan assumed leadership last month after serving as the Managing Director and CEO of BSE. Vikram Limaye’s five-year term ended on July 15, and Chauhan took over from him.
He was a member of the NSE founding team but departed in 2000 to take on a number of positions with the Reliance Industries group. In 2009, he returned to the world of stock exchanges as the deputy CEO of the BSE, and in 2012, he was named CEO of the BSE.
