Copper futures prices rise

News of China coming out with a big stimulus program for its economy also pushed up prices

Due to increased spot demand, copper prices in the futures market increased by 0.82 % on July 7 to Rs 650.45 per kilogram.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper futures for July delivery gained Rs 5.30 (0.82 percent) to Rs 650.45 per kg, with 5,954 lots changing hands.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices also to participants raising their bets. The report that China is likely to come out with a big stimulus program also pushed up copper prices.
