Jaimini Bhagwati joins IDFC First Bank as Additional Director

In its regulatory filing, IDFC First Bank Ltd. informed the exchanges and investors that the bank, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors of the Bank has approved the appointment of Dr. Jaimini Bhagwati as an Additional Director, in the category of Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of the Bank, for a period of 3 consecutive years with effect from February 18, 2022, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Prior to his association with IDFC Bank, Dr. Jaimini Bhagwati acted as an IFS officer, economist, and foreign policy expert. He was associated as the High Commissioner to the UK and was an Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Dr. Jaimini has occupied senior positions in the Government of India, including foreign affairs, finance and atomic energy. He worked as a specialist in international bond and derivatives markets at the World.

IDFC First bank was trading at Rs44.80 against its previous closing price of Rs44.40, marginally higher. It touched dayâ€™s high and low of Rs44.85 and Rs43.70 respectively.
