L-;T Construction secures ‘significant' order to develop 430-bed teaching hospital in Assam

Larsen & Toubro's construction buildings & factories Business 'L&T Construction' has received an order from the State Government of Assam to build a new Medical College & Hospital in Golaghat, Assam on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis.

The hospital will include 430 beds, an academic block with a capacity of 100 students per year, an autopsy building, a private ward, a dormitory, and residential amenities.

The project must be completed within 36 months and in accordance with NMC guidelines. The entire built-up area will be 9.44 million square feet.

The scope of work includes Piling, Civil Structure, Finishes, and related MEP services such as Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of medical gas pipes, Modular OT, and so on, as well as exterior development works such as area development.

The company has also received an order from a famous customer to build commercial office space in Bengaluru with a built-up size of around 10 lakh square feet.

The project scope comprises the design and construction of civil works for a composite structure with 3B+G+12 levels. The project is expected to be created, coordinated, and monitored digitally utilizing BIM's "Build & Collaboration module" over the course of 12 months.

Larsen & Toubro was trading at Rs1,839.30 per piece, down by 0.04% from its previous closing of Rs1,840.10 on the BSE. The scrip touched intraday high and low of Rs1,856.40 and Rs1,828.25 respectively.
