Markets remain in red

Indian markets remain in red. NSE Nifty 50 is trading at 16,951.25 points, down by 0.33 points. BSE Sensex remains under pressure at 56,906.24 points, down by 201 points. Dr Reddy's (+2.59%) has emerged as the top gainer, followed by Sun Pharma (+2.29%) with nearly 2.50% gains. Power Grid (+2.07%), Asian Paints (+2.05%), and Eicher Motors (1.94%)  are in green with nearly 2% gains.

Axis Bank (-2.59%) is topping the losers' chart. JSW Steel (-2.43%) has joined the losers with about a 2% decline. Reliance Industries (-2.17%), ONGC (-1.85%), and Hindalco (-1.82%) have shed about 2%. Sectoral indices Auto (+0.56%), and IT (+0.64%) are in green. Nifty Bank (-0.80%), and PSU (-1.20%) slipped about 1%. All other sectoral indices are dragging down the indices with marginal downsides. Decline in the value of rupee is continuing its pressure on Indian equity markets. Foreign investors are very likely to remain net sellers today.
