
The Reserve Bank will issue two sovereign gold bonds in December and March. The finance ministry announced on Thursday that subscriptions for the 2022–23 Series III and 2022–23 Series IV of sovereign gold bonds (SGBs) would be accepted from December 19 to December 23 and from March 6–10, 2023, respectively.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued these bonds on the government's behalf. The SGBs will be offered through Scheduled Commercial Banks (apart from Small Finance Banks, Payment Banks, and Regional Rural Banks), Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL), Clearing Corporation of India Limited (CCIL), authorized post offices, and stock exchanges NSE and BSE.
