
Tata Motors revealed that its sales figures for January 2023 were a success, with a total of 79,681 vehicles sold both domestically and abroad. This represents a marginal growth of 10% compared to the previous year, where only 72,485 units were sold during January 2022.
January 2023 marked a shift in sales trends for Tata Motors, as commercial vehicle sales saw a dip of 7%, totaling 32,780 units sold. On the other hand, passenger vehicles, including electric vehicles, experienced a surge with sales jumping 18% to a total of 48,289 units sold in comparison to January 2022.
Tata Motors' Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (MH&ICV) division, witnessed a steady month, as the total sales, including trucks and buses, reached 15,057 units, a slight increase from 14,958 units sold in January 2022. This growth was especially evident domestically, where the sale of MH&ICV, including trucks and buses, amounted to 14,716 units, a notable jump from the 13,271 units sold in January 2022.
On Wednesday, the counter settled at Rs446.35, down by 1.27% against the previous close of Rs452.10 on NSE.
