In the opening hours of trading on Thursday, gold prices increased marginally by Rs 10. The current price of ten grams of 24-carat gold is Rs 50,630. The price of ten grams of 22-carat gold is Rs 46,410.
On the other side, the price of silver decreased by Rs 300 from the day before. At the moment, one kilogram of silver costs Rs 55,600. As a result of the strong dollar and the likelihood of further interest rate increases by major central banks to tackle growing inflation, gold prices in the US plummeted on Thursday to their lowest level in over a year.
The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold is Rs 50,630 in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. 10 grams of 22-carat gold are now selling for Rs 46,410 each in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
Ten grams of 24- and 22-carat gold are now being sold in Chennai for Rs 50,930 and Rs 46,680, respectively. One kilogram of silver costs Rs 61,000 in Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad while it costs Rs 55,600 in Mumbai and Kolkata.
