Early on Wednesday (06-07-2022), gold and silver prices increased somewhat as 10 grams of 24-carat yellow metal were selling for Rs 52,340 per gram. While ten grams of 22-carat gold are being offered for Rs 48,100. Silver is trading at Rs 57,800 per kilogram, a gain of Rs 1,100.
Following a selloff in the previous session that sent bullion to a seven-month low when the dollar’s surge was halted, gold prices rose. As of 00:59 GMT, spot gold increased 0.4 percent to $1,770.71 per ounce. The price of US gold futures increased by 0.3% to $1,768.80. To $19.27 an ounce, spot silver prices increased by 0.4 percent.
On Tuesday, gold prices fell through psychological support at the $1,800 per ounce level as significant increases in the dollar and increasing interest rates reduced demand for the non-yielding commodity.
