Ambuja Cements, Adani Cement’s cement and building material company, has won the National Award for Energy Excellence in the Indian Cement Industry in the Grinding Category for the measures taken to improve energy efficiency at the Roorkee plant.
Som Prakash, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, presented the award instituted by the National Council for Cement and Building Materials during the 17th NCB National Conference on December 9, 2022 in New Delhi.
The Company also presented a paper titled ‘Correlation of Chemistry and Process Parameters on Formation of Alite in Portland Clinker’ at the Conference which was adjudged as the best paper in the category ‘Productivity Enhancement and Process Optimization’.
Adani Cement consistently strives for sustainability, with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency in all of its operations. The company is continuing to reduce its carbon footprint by reducing the intensity of thermal and electrical energy.
At around 11.49 AM, Ambuja Cements was trading 5.89% higher at Rs520.20, against previous close of Rs491.25 on NSE. The counter hit intraday high and low of Rs521 and Rs489.90 respectively.
