Anil Jerath joins BEML's Board; stock trades flat

BEML Ltd., a leading PSU manufacturer of earthmoving equipment, announced that the President of India has appointed Shri Anil Jerath, Chief General Manager (Finance) as Director (Finance) on the Board of the Company effective from March 22, 2022.

Shri Anil Jerath is a Cost & Management Accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Before joining BEML, he has worked as the Additional Director at Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board (CSEB), Raipur, and has worked at Bharat Aluminum Company Limited (BALCO), Korba.

He has rich & varied experience of 32 years in Government, Public & Private Sectors with wide exposure in all aspects of Accounting & financial management, Accounts finalization and Audit, tax planning and tax management, analyzing the financial viability of new ventures/new projects, and forecast the amount of project finance/fund requirement, conceptualizing and implementing financial procedures including working capital management, internal financial controls and target costing.

BEML is currently trading at Rs1,548.50 up by Rs2.3 or 0.15% from its previous closing of Rs1,546.20 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs1,555.05 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs1,559.25 and Rs1,543 respectively.
