Asheesh Joshi appointed as Government Nominee Director on Mangalore Refinery's Board; stock gains ~1%

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited informed that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP &NG), Government of India, vide letter dated June 14, 2022, has conveyed that the Competent Authority has approved the appointment of Asheesh Joshi on the Board of MRPL in place of Esha Srivastav.

Asheesh Joshi will hold a position on the board as a Nominee Director.

Asheesh will be appointed in place of Esha Srivastava as per the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.

Asheesh is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2006 Uttarakhand cadre. Currently, he is serving as Director of the petroleum ministry. Prior to this, he was posted as Collector of Chamoli district in the state government of Uttarakhand.

He has also been appointed as the Government Nominee Director on OIL India’s Board.

Mangalore Refinery is currently trading at Rs104.20 up by Rs1.3 or 1.26% from its previous closing of Rs102.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs106.30 and has touched intraday high and low of Rs109 and Rs103.30 respectively.
