Ashok Leyland, the flagship firm of the Hinduja Group, began its ‘Manzil ka Safar’ Stallion drive from Kanyakumari to Leh on Wednesday to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas and the company’s 75th anniversary. The ‘Manzil ka Safar’ pays homage to the Stallion line of vehicles from Ashok Leyland and their connection to the armed services.
Before arriving in Leh, the group would travel 4,000 miles across various landscapes and mountain passes.
As a part of Ashok Leyland’s 75th-anniversary celebration, the company’s executive chairman Dheeraj Hinduja told ET, ‘Today we are proud to flag off the Stallion Manzil ka Safar drive in honour of our long-standing association with the Indian armed forces.’
We are fully committed to serving the Indian military forces, as evidenced by the drive from Kanyakumari to Leh, and we will keep moving forward while emulating the spirit of progress and nation-building, he added in a social media post.
Ashok Leyland has been instrumental in helping the Army meet its mobility needs by giving them dependable vehicles for a range of operations.
According to the statement, Ashok Leyland and the Army have a long-standing relationship that is built in mutual commitment on both sides.
Ashok Leyland would interact with army veterans, auto enthusiasts, and other stakeholders during the drive, sharing tales of resiliency, innovation, and fruitful collaboration with the Army.
