Avenue Supermarts reports 35.75% increase in operating revenue

For the second quarter of the current fiscal year, Avenue Supermarts Ltd, which owns and runs the retail brand D-Mart, reported a jump in standalone revenue from operations of 35.75% to Rs10,384.66 crore.

According to a regulatory filing, the business has generated consolidated operating revenue of Rs7,649.64 crore in Q2 of FY22.

At the end of September, it has 302 stores altogether.

Avenue Supermarts’ standalone revenue for the July-September fiscal year 2020—21 was Rs5,218.15 crore. In the quarter prior to the pandemic, July to September of FY 2019—20, it was at Rs5,949 crore.
