Bajaj Auto Ltd, a prominent manufacturer of two and three-wheelers, witnessed a 10% decrease in total sales during July. The company reported selling 3,19,747 vehicles compared to 3,54,670 units sold in July 2022.
Based on the available data, Domestic wholesales eased by 2%, with 1,79,263 units sold in July, compared to 1,82,956 units in the same period last year. Total exports experienced an 18% decline, with 1,40,484 units exported in July 2023, down from 1,71,714 units in July 2022.
The primary factor contributing to the lower sales was a significant 15% drop in two-wheeler dispatches, with only 2,68,840 units dispatched in July, as opposed to 3,15,054 units in July last year.
Total dispatches of commercial vehicles (CV) surged by 29%, reaching 50,907 units in July, up from 39,616 units in the corresponding period last year.
