Haryana Power Generation Corp. has placed an order with Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. for the installation of a 1×800 megawatt ultra super critical expansion unit.
According to an exchange filing on Thursday, the ₹5,500 Crore project will be created at Yamuna Nagar’s Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Haryana.
According to the application, the company will deliver balance of plant packages that include electrical and C&I (commercial and industrial) packages along with equipment such as boilers, turbines, generators, and other related auxiliaries.
It stated that the contract must be completed in 57 months.
Previously, on January 12, NLC India Ltd., Neyveli, had sent BHEL a Letter of Award for the engineering, procurement, and construction package for the 3×800-MW NLC Talabira thermal power project.
In the Odisha district of Jharsuguda, a ₹15,000 Crore thermal power facility would be established. BHEL’s shares ended the day at ₹230.90, down 0.24% from the previous close, while the benchmark BSE Sensex fell 1%.
