Bosch names Guruprasad Mudlapur as new Managing Director

In a recent announcement, Bosch India Limited has revealed that Guruprasad Mudlapur will assume the role of President for the Bosch Group in India as well as Managing Director of Bosch Limited, effective from July 1, 2023.

As the newly appointed executive, Guruprasad will take charge of driving the strategic expansion and overall business outcomes in the area, while simultaneously maintaining his position as the Chief Technology Officer of Bosch Limited.

With over 15 years of engagement with the Bosch Group, Guruprasad has taken on several roles in engineering and business management. 

Before his present appointment as joint managing director and chief technology officer of Bosch Limited, he served as regional president and managing director of Bosch Automotive Electronics Private Limited.

According to a regulatory filing, Soumitra Bhattacharya, who has served in several capacities during his 28-year tenure with Bosch India, will retire from the company on June 30, 2023. Guruprasad will take over his position as the successor.

Sandeep Nelamangala, currently executive director at Bosch Limited and executive vice president, Mobility Solutions at Bosch India, will be promoted as joint managing director of Bosch Limited from July 1, 2023, said the company.

At around 9.30 AM, Bosch Limited was trading 0.57% lower at Rs18,320 per piece, against the previous close of Rs18,424.20 on NSE.
