Citroen launches its brand-new C3 in India for a starting price of Rs5.7 lakh

Wednesday saw the introduction of Citroen India’s brand-new C3, with prices beginning at Rs 5.7 lakh (ex-showroom). With its new offering, the company, which is a part of the Stellantis group created by the union of two major global automakers, FCA and Groupe PSA, has entered the quickly expanding sub-4 metre category.

The C3’s 1.2-liter petrol engine is priced between Rs5.7 lakh and Rs. 8.05 lakh.

Two trim levels of the model have been released by the company: the 1.2 Puretech 82 with a five-speed manual transmission and the 1.2 litre Puretech 110 with a six-speed manual transmission.

Roland Bouchara, CEO & Managing Director of Stellantis India, stated in a statement that “with this introduction, Citroen enters the mainstream B-hatch sector in India and we are convinced the new C3’s bespoke comfort USP will make it attractive and unique for consumers.”

According to him, this is the company’s first C-Cubed family model that was created and designed in India, just for Indians.

According to the company, C3 deliveries to consumers will begin on Wednesday at 20 La Maison Citroen virtual showrooms spread over 19 locations in the nation. Additionally, Citroen will expand its 100% direct online purchasing programme for the C3.

The C3, an SUV-inspired hatchback, is the first of a series of three vehicles designed and built in India and South America for worldwide markets.

Citroen said that its teams in India and Paris worked together to design the automobile with more than 90% localization.
The C5 Aircross SUV is already available from the manufacturer in India.
