Coal India Ltd Slips 2.76%

Coal India Ltd fell 2.76% today to trade at Rs 181.7. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 0.04% to quote at 21275.73. The index is up 3.6 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Hindalco Industries Ltd decreased 0.78% and NMDC Ltd lost 0.23% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 52.02 % over last one year compared to the 8.63% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Coal India Ltd has added 13.67% over last one month compared to 3.6% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 3.64% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 3.98 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 12.23 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 203.85 on 06 Oct 2021. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 123.45 on 19 Apr 2021.
