Baker Hughes rig count data released Friday shows the United States has added 22 rigs since last week, bringing its total count to 635. This marks an increase of 238 rigs from last year, and brings North Americas total rig count to 854. Compared to a record low US count of 244 in August 2020, the rig count is up 160%. Canada added one to total 219 since last week. The US Oil rigs count rose by 19 to 516 while the number of rigs drilling for natural gas edged up by 2 this week to 118.
