Cummins India and Repos Energy have announced the launch of an intelligent fuel management system. Cummins will sell and distribute the Data Automated Teller Ultimate Machine line of products under the agreement, the company stated in an exchange statement on December 12.
DATUM uses sensors and digital technology to give real-time fuel inventory and usage updates across various installations. According to the company, the smart fuel storage system allows remote monitoring of fuel levels, provides notifications when fuel levels are low, and allows for a round-the-clock doorstep supply of diesel, boosting operational efficiency while lowering carbon footprint.
Cummins stated that customers will benefit from lower fuel expenditures and better control of diesel supplies.
According to the firm, it demonstrated direct savings of up to 10% in fuel expenses, as well as a considerable improvement in operational uptime.
Repos Energy is in the business of fuel logistics and the problems that come with them, such as theft and spillage, and it provides door-to-door diesel services.
According to Vivek Malapati, vice president, of distribution business, Cummins India, the launch of the DATUM range in conjunction with Repos is a significant step in tackling the existing issues encountered by customers in managing fuel operations.
