Currency Buzz: INR Plunges On Sustained Foreign Fund Outflows

Sustained foreign fund outflows coupled with spike in crude oil prices weighed down the Indian rupee on Monday. The domestic currency fell by 49 paise to close at 81.89 (provisional) against the US dollar. Besides, a stronger greenback against key rivals also put pressure on the domestic currency.
