DCB Bank appoints Rupa Devi Singh as Non-Executive Chairman

In a meeting held on Friday, DCB Bank has approved the appointment of Ms. Rupa Devi Singh as Independent Director and Non-Executive (Part-time) Chairman of the Bank, succeeding Mr. Nasser Munjee. The company has made the necessary application for approval from the RBI and is awaiting the same.

A seasoned professional from the field of Banking, Infrastructure Advisory & Finance.

She was the founder M D & CEO of PXIL an Exchange for electricity trading, promoted by NSE & NCDEX.

She set up PXIL from scratch in 2008 & successfully led it for five years until March 2013. She has exquisite experience of over 15 years in commercial banking ( Retail and Corporate ), 5 years in the office of Chairman SBI, 6 years in Investment Banking( SBI Caps), 4 years in Strategic Consulting & Overseas Marketing ( with CRISIL ), and 5 years as CEO of a Spot Commodity Exchange ( PXIL ).

DCB Bank’s share opened at Rs. 87.30 against its previous closing price of Rs 87.05. It is currently trading at Rs. 86.35, which is also its intraday low so far. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 87.35 so far in the day.
