DoorDash to end its delivery partnership with Walmart

After more than four years of delivering groceries and other items from the retail chain to clients, online delivery platform DoorDash has made the decision to end its partnership with Walmart.

Early this month, DoorDash informed Walmart of its decision, claiming that the arrangement was no longer advantageous to both parties and that it wanted to concentrate on its long-term client relationships.

 DoorDash gave Walmart a 30-day notice, thus the collaboration will stop in September.

When Walmart began experimenting with having goods ordered through its website delivered by DoorDash in 2018, the two businesses came together for the first time. It initially went live in Atlanta, Georgia, but has now spread to a number of other states.

Because of potential issues with the service it provides through Walmart’s website, DoorDash presently does not allow customers to place orders from Walmart. On the other hand, Instacart, a competitor, provides same-day delivery from Walmart in some regions.
