Financials shares edge lower

Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, Can Fin Homes Ltd (down 4.98%), Centrum Capital Ltd (down 4.38%),Religare Enterprises Ltd (down 4.15%),Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd (down 3.7%),City Union Bank Ltd (down 3.61%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (down 3.47%), Canara Bank (down 3.36%), IDFC Ltd (down 3.32%), L&T Finance Holdings Ltd (down 3.3%), and Manappuram Finance Ltd (down 3.29%). On the other hand, Max Ventures and Industries Ltd (up 10.12%), Home First Finance Company India Ltd (up 4.91%), and Reliance Capital Ltd (up 4.81%) moved up.At 13:46 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 728.17 or 1.22% at 58917.98.The Nifty 50 index was down 225.3 points or 1.27% at 17533.15.The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 220.3 points or 0.78% at 27955.08.The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 112.77 points or 1.27% at 8750.24.On BSE,1257 shares were trading in green, 2202 were trading in red and 163 were unchanged.Powered by Capital Market – Live News
