Fuel prices as of August 1

According to the most recent price notification sent out by fuel dealers, the price of gasoline and diesel remained stable on August 1. The cost of fuel has not changed in over a month.

In Mumbai, a liter of gasoline costs Rs106.31, and a liter of diesel costs Rs94.27. Delhi charges Rs96.72 for gasoline and Rs89.62 for diesel per liter. In Chennai and Kolkata, the prices for gasoline and diesel, respectively, are Rs102.63 and Rs94.24 and Rs106.03 and Rs92.76.

According to reports, oil marketing businesses lose Rs13.08 on each liter of gasoline and Rs24.09 on each liter of diesel. India imports the majority of the gasoline it needs.

Early on Monday, oil prices fell as traders prepared for this week’s meeting of OPEC and other major producers to discuss supply changes. By 00:00 GMT, Brent crude futures had decreased by 63 cents, or 0.6 %, to $103.34 per barrel. As of the start of trading in Asia, U.S. West Texas Intermediate oil was trading at $97.87 a barrel, down 75 cents or 0.7 percent from its session low of $97.55.
