GAIL Seeks Bids for 10 MW Solar Project in MP

GAIL (India) has issued a bid invitation for a 10 MW grid-connected solar power project at its Vijaipur complex in Madhya Pradesh. The selected contractor will be responsible for installation, commissioning, and five years of operation and maintenance.

The scope of work includes designing, supplying, erecting, testing, and commissioning 33 kV cabling and associated switchgear equipment, transformer, and metering equipment. Bids must be submitted by July 12, 2023, and will be opened the next day.

Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 5.03 million. The successful bidder must provide a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 10% of the contract value.

The project should be commissioned within 11 months from the date of the letter of award. Eligible bidders must have completed one project with an installed capacity of 8 MW or more, two projects with an installed capacity of 5 MW or more each, or three projects with an installed capacity of 4 MW or more each in the past seven years.

At least one of the completed projects should have been operational for one year as of the bid due date. Bidders should have a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 268.9 million ($3.28 million) over the last three financial years.
