HDFC Bank allots over 41.73 lakh equity shares under ESOP; Stock dives 1%

HDFC Bank has informed to the exchanges regarding allotment of 41,73,730 equity shares under ESOS.

The Bank has allotted today 4173730 equity shares to the employees of the Bank pursuant to exercise of options under its Employees Stock Options Scheme (ESOS).

As per the filing, the Paid up Share Capital of the Bank will accordingly increase from Rs5557887546 equity shares of Re.1/- each to Rs5562061276 equity shares of Re.1/- each.

At around 12:38 PM, HDFC Bank Ltd was trading at Rs1,495.20 per share down by Rs16.25 or 1.08% from its previous closing of Rs1,511.45 per share on the BSE.

Recently, the Bank has increased it interest rates on fixed deposits as well as recurring deposits by up to 40 basis points on select tenures.
