Indian markets end the day on high

Indian stock markets reached record closing highs on May 23, with the Nifty index closing above 22,950. The Sensex surged 1,196.98 points, or 1.61%, to close at 75,418.04, while the Nifty climbed 369.90 points, or 1.64%, to end at 22,967.70. The market saw 1,577 shares advancing, 1,761 shares declining, and 112 shares remaining unchanged.
