Indian equity markets ended a very flat day today, on a positive note. Markets rose in the last 90 minutes of trading. Nifty 50 ended, up by 38.30 points. Sensex ended, up by 114.92 points. Top Gainers today were Hero Motors, Coal India and Bajaj Auto. Top Losers today were BPCL, Adani Enterprises and Apollo Hospitals.
All the broader market indices ended the day in Green. Strong buying demand was seen in some micro-cap stocks. Strong buying demand was seen in many auto stocks because of positive March sales numbers posted by many auto companies. Stocks of some oil marketing companies came under selling pressure because of the OPEC+ decision to cut oil output by 1 million barrels per day.
Idea, Yes Bank, and South Bank were the most traded stocks today at NSE, in terms of volume. HDFC Bank, HDFC and ICICI Bank were the most traded stocks in terms of value. 56 stocks touched new 52- week high, today at NSE. 58 stocks touched new 52-week low.
