Indian equity markets started the day today in Red, but ended it in Green. Nifty 50 closed, up by 14.25 points. Sensex closed, up by 123.38 points. Top Gainers today were Eicher Motors, M&M, IndusInd Bank. Top losers today were Hindalco, BPCL, Power Grid.
Eicher Motors’ stock gained during the day after the company posted strong March quarter result. Selling was seen in some mid-cap stocks. Media stocks, metal stocks, pharma stocks, oil & gas stocks came under selling pressure. Buying demand was seen in bank stocks.
South Indian Bank, GTL Infra, and Idea were the most traded stocks today at NSE, in terms of volume. HDFC Bank, Eicher Motors, ICICI Bank were the most traded stocks, in terms of value. 90 stocks touched new 52-week high, today at NSE. 14 stocks touched new 52-week low.
