Indian equity markets saw some volatility today

Indian equity markets saw a day of some volatility today. Both profit booking and buying demand was there. Nifty 50 closed, up by 25.85 points. Sensex closed, up by 74.61 points. Top Gainers today were Adani Enterprises, Bajaj Finance and Britannia. Top Losers today were HDFC, UPL and HDFC Bank.  

Selling pressure was seen in a few mid-cap stocks. Buying demand was seen in banking stocks, after the good March quarter results of IndusInd Bank and Bank of Maharashtra. Some consumer durable stocks came under selling pressure. 

Rail Vikas Nigam, Zomato, and IRFC were the most traded stocks today at NSE, in terms of volume. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank were the most traded stocks in terms of value. 49 stocks touched new 52-week high today at NSE. 18 stocks touched new 52-week low.
