Indian benchmark indices closed higher on November 15, with Nifty surpassing the 19,650 mark, driven by widespread buying across various sectors.
Leading the gainers on the Nifty were Eicher Motors, Tech Mahindra, Hindalco Industries, Tata Motors, and Infosys. Conversely, Bajaj Finance, Power Grid Corporation, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv, and Apollo Hospitals faced losses.
Within the Sensex firms, significant gainers included JSW Steel, Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel, Infosys, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies, and Axis Bank.
Power Grid, Nestle, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Asian Paints were among the laggards.
All sectoral indices concluded the trading session in positive territory, with capital goods, auto, metal, information technology, oil & gas, and realty sectors witnessing gains ranging from 1-3%.
The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices both recorded a 1% increase.
