Indian markets end the day in red

Indian equity markets ended the day in red today. Markets recovered some of the losses incurred during the day, in the last 30 minutes. Nifty 50 ended, down by 32.30 points. Sensex ended, down by 147.47 points. Top Gainers today were SBI Life, Ultratech Cement and HCL Technologies. Top Losers today were Divi’s Lab, Reliance and BPCL. 

Selling pressure was seen across all broader indices. Heavy selling pressure was seen in large oil & gas stocks such as Reliance Industries and BPCL. Good buying demand was seen in some Metal stocks and IT stocks. 

Yes Bank, Idea and Suzlon were the most traded stocks today at NSE, in terms of volume. Reliance, Paytm, and ICICI Bank were the most traded stocks, in terms of value. 33 stocks touched new 52-week high today at NSE. 33 stocks touched new 52-week low.
