Indian markets, represented by the Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to start flat on November 6. As of 7:00 am IST, Nifty futures were trading at 24,275.
On November 5, the benchmark indices saw a strong recovery. The Nifty initially fell 0.5% to an intraday low of 23,842.75 but rebounded, reaching a high of 24,229.05—up 1.6% from its low. It closed positively at 24,198.30, marking a gain of 0.85%.
The Sensex ended at 79,476.63, up 0.88%. The index climbed over 1,200 points from its lowest point during the day to reach 79,523.13.
Meanwhile, Asian markets were trading higher on Wednesday, with Japan’s Nikkei gaining nearly 1.5%. In the U.S., stocks closed significantly higher on Tuesday, supported by strong economic data, as Americans cast their votes in a close presidential election.
