Inox Wind Limited announced that TUV SUD, a major worldwide certification authority based in Germany, has issued Inox Wind a Type Certificate for its cutting-edge, new generation 3 MW wind turbine consisting of a booster capacity of up to 3.3 MW.
This certification confirms that the prototype turbine meets all of the requirements for serial manufacture and commissioning. TUV SUD’s certification process comprised thorough testing and verification in compliance with IEC 61400-22, an internationally recognized standard, and the Type Certificate granted is valid globally.
The Type Certificate also ensures that the theoretical design calculations for Inox Wind’s 3 MW wind turbine accurately represent the anticipated performance of the turbines as observed in real-world conditions.
Inox Wind’s 3 MW turbine, created with worldwide technology partner AMSC, has a 100 m tubular tower and 145 m rotor diameter, making it one of the largest in its class. Because of its small form, this wind turbine has one of the lowest energy costs per unit, resulting in lower production, transport & logistics, and installation costs, giving the company a sustainable advantage in the Indian WTG market, said Inox Wind.
At around 2.58 PM, Inox wind was trading 0.69% lower at Rs 193.60, against the previous close of Rs 194.95 on NSE.
