IRCTC Q3 profit zooms 17% to ₹300 crore, riding strong travel demand

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) announced a net profit for the December quarter of FY24 of ₹300 Crore, up 17.4% from the same period last year at ₹255.5 Crore.

Revenue reached ₹1,118.3 Crore, up 21.8 % year over year, the business reported in a regulatory statement on February 13. 

The Indian Railways’ ticketing and catering division, IRCTC, is in charge of overseeing train meal services and provides online ticket purchasing. 

For the quarter, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBIDTA) increased by 20.9 % to ₹394 Crore. The EBIDTA margin was 35.2% as opposed to 35.5 % year over year.

IRCTC’s shares traded  0.77% higher at ₹917.80 on the BSE on February 13.
