NCDEX Jeera futures are holding up amid worries over the crop size and good export demand. Media reports stated that around 40% shortfall in the cumin crop in Rajasthan and Gujarat, the leading producing states of the commodity have pushed up the commodity to Rs 23000 per quintal. For the 2021-22 season, cumin sowing in Gujarat saw a dip of nearly 30%. Rajasthan also registered a 20% reduction in acreage.
