JSW Steel reported consolidated Crude Steel production of 6.43 million tonnes in the first quarter of FY 24, registering an increase of 11% year-on-year. In the previous corresponding quarter, the company logged production of 5.77 million tonnes. However, on a QoQ basis, production declined marginally against 6.58 million tonnes in Q4FY23.
The company said that it achieved a combined production of 6.61 million tonnes in the quarter under review, up by 12% y-o-y against 5.88 million tonnes in Q1FY23. Whereas, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, production declined by 2%.
Company announced that production from Indian operations stood at 6.19 million tonnes in Q1FY24, against 5.62 million tonnes in the previous corresponding quarter. Sequentially, Indian production declined by 3%.
JSW Ispat Special Products registered production of 0.18 million tonnes in Q1FY24, as compared to 0.11 million tonnes in the previous corresponding quarter.
At around 10.12 AM, JSW Steel was trading 0.21% higher at Rs 793.60, against the previous close of Rs 791.90 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of Rs 804.55 and Rs 789, respectively.
