K P Energy has received an order to set up a Balance of Plant of 23.1 MW wind energy project from Aditya Birla Renewables. The order amount, however, was not disclosed by the corporation.
A power project’s balance of plant refers to the many supporting and auxiliary components.
Aditya Birla Renewables has awarded K P Energy a new order for the development of a Balance of Plant of 23.1MW wind capacity as part of the wind-solar hybrid power project (comprising 23.1MW wind and 11MW solar) to be connected to the existing 140 MW power evacuation facility at Fulsar PSS, according to a BSE filing.
K P Energy will be in charge of providing a variety of services for the project, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC).
This includes responsibilities such as acquiring land, designing, manufacturing, supplying, building, erecting, testing, and commissioning the Balance of Plant, and obtaining all essential approvals and permits for the project.
The project includes the installation of 11 Suzlon wind turbines. The project is expected to be finished in 2024-25.
