The stock exchanges were informed on Tuesday that the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), one of the country’s top domestic institutional investors, had boosted its holding in Capri Global Capital Ltd from 5.04% to 7.06% and in Hero MotoCorp Ltd from 9.163% to 11.256%.
It also boosted its shareholding in Hindustan Unilever Limited, a fast-moving consumer goods company, from 4.995% to 5.008% at an average cost of Rs2,206.93.
The incremental investment in Capri Global Capital Ltd was purchased for Rs624.61 on average, while Hero MotoCorp Ltd was purchased for Rs3,050.14.
LIC stock ended the day higher on Tuesday, busting a 10-day losing streak. The life insurance behemoth’s shares closed at Rs674.20, up 0.9% from the previous day’s close.
