• Benchmark market indices declined over 1 per cent on the back of a sharp jump in US bond yields due to 4 decade-high inflations.
• BSE Sensex is at 58,053.79 down 870.24 points or 1.48%.
• Nifty50 is at 17,343.10 down 262.75 points or 1.49%. Nifty Bank is at 38,553.50, down 1.17%. Mid-cap Index is down by 1.43%.
• Divis Lab, IOC, Tata Steel, BPCL, and IndusInd Bank are the top gainers. Grasim, Infosys, Britannia, Nestle, and Tech Mahindra are the top losers.
• All the Nifty sectoral indices were trading in the deep sea of red. Nifty Banking & Financial Services, Metal, FMCG and Auto remained down in the noon trade.
• Out of 50 stocks traded on the NSE, 45 stocks declined and only 5 stocks advanced.
