Markets end the day in Green

Domestic equity markets ended the day on a positive note with Nifty closing at 18,057.55 points. The markets kept a bullish momentum throughout the day. BSE Sensex closed 572.39 points higher at 60,665.36 points.

All sectoral indices ended the day on a mixed note with Nifty FMCG (+1.2%). Nifty PSU Banks was the top laggard with nearly a 2% downside.

L&T (+3.3%) emerged as the top gainer on Nifty. HUL (+2.7%) and HDFC joined the rally with nearly 1.7% gains. Eicher Motors (+1.69%) and HCL Tech (+1.64%) also closed on a positive side.

SBI (-1.67%) was the top loser on NSE today. Bajaj Finserv (-0.74%), IndusInd Bank (-0.7%) and Wipro (-0.6%) dragged down the chart further. Bajaj Finance also ended the day with a 0.4% downside.

About 37 shares advanced during the day, while 13 recorded a decline.
