Indian benchmark indices may have yet another session full of gains, despite indicators indicating a muted entry. Yesterday, markets closed with substantial gains. Nifty closed at 19,833. Sensex ended at 67,097.
Globally, US markets closed with gains in most sections. Dow Jones ended with a gain of 109 points. Nasdaq closed 4 points higher. S&P 500 ended 11 points higher.
Asian equities are trading in mixed sentiment today. Chinese Shanghai Composite was trading 0.20% lower. Hong Kong’s Heng Seng was marginally higher by 0.15%. Japan’s Nikkei 225 closed 1.14% lower. Taiwan index was trading 0.55% higher. South Korean Kospi was down by 0.17%.
Nifty Midcap 50 stocks closed 0.83% higher. Nifty Bank ended with a gain of 0.57%.
NTPC, Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, Ultratech Cement, and Bajaj Finserv were the top gainers yesterday. Hindalco, Hero MotoCorp, TCS, Bajaj Auto, and Maruti Suzuki were the top losers.
Oil prices extended the previous session’s losses. Rupee slipped 4 paise to close at 82.08 against the greenback.
Technical View: Nifty may find support at around 19757, while 19852 will act as resistance.
