Markets saw another day of some volatility today

Indian markets again saw some volatility today. Markets ended the day in green. Nifty 50 ended, up by 49.85 points. Sensex ended, up by 203.01 points. Top Gainers today were Maruti, Reliance and Apollo Hospitals. Top Losers today were Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel and Sun Pharma.

Microcap and Midcap stocks saw significant selling pressure, probably on the back of profit booking. A number of large cap stocks saw good buying demand today. Auto stocks and oil & gas stocks saw strong buying demand today. All other sectoral indicies ended in red. Metal stocks and pharma stocks saw quite significant selling pressure today.

At NSE, 62 stocks touched their 52 week high today. 38 stocks touched their 52 week low. PNB, BHEL, RBL etc were among the stocks that saw high trading volume today.
