Markets see a day heavy in Green

Indian markets saw a day heavy in Green today. Nifty 50 ended, up by 216.85 points. Sensex ended, up by 762.10 points. Top Gainers today were Apollo Hospitals, HDFC Life and BPCL. Top Losers today were Cipla, Coal India and Bajaj Finserv. Large cap stocks saw heavy buying demand today. This explains the reason for significant increase in both Nifty 50 and Sensex.

IT stocks saw very heavy buying demand today. All the sectoral indices ended in Green. This means that buying demand was there for stocks across all sectors. IRFC, Idea and PNB were among  stocks that saw most trading volume at NSE today. HDFC Bank, Adani Enterprises, and Reliance saw the most trading in value terms. 63 stocks touched their 52-week high today at NSE. 51 stocks touched their 52-week low.
