Domestic equity indices are trading with muted numbers in Wednesday’s afternoon session tracking global cues and witnessing continuous foreign fund outflows.
According to market statistics, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold securities worth Rs 2,324.23 crore on Monday.
On the sectoral front, Nifty IT and Pharma stocks are trading about 1% higher. Nifty Bank, Metal and Financial Services stocks are trading under pressure. All other sectoral indices are trading in mixed sentiments.
At around 1.00 PM, BSE Sensex is trading 40 points lower at 65,362. NSE Nifty is down by 25 points at 19,410.
Apollo Hospital (+2.03%) is trading as the top gainer on nifty index today, followed by Infosys (+1.68%). NTPC (+1.20%), Ultratech Cement (+1.03%), and Wipro (+0.99%) are trading with an uptick of 1%.
Tata Steel (-1.74%) is trading 2% lower as the top laggard, followed by Hero MotoCorp (-1.66%). Adani Ports (-1.47%), Hindalco (-1.43%), and HDFC Life (-1.41%) are trading as the other top losers on nifty index.
A total of 22 stocks advanced, and 28 declined on the nifty index today.
