Domestic equity markets are trading in a flat momentum in Wednesday’s afternoon session overlooking domestic and U.S. inflation data for June and the quarterly results season.
On the sectoral front, Nifty Auto, FMCG, and Metal stocks are trading with declines. PSU Bank stocks are up by 1%. All other sectoral indices are trading on the upside. India’s VIX is 0.20% lower.
Heavyweight IT index fell over 1% ahead of the earnings release of HCL Tech and Tata Consultancy, which is due later in the day.
At around 1.00 PM, BSE Sensex is trading 9 points higher at 65,627. NSE Nifty is trading flat at 19,439.
ONGC (+1.67%) is leading the gainers’ board today. Reliance (+1.21%), Kotak Bank (+0.82%), Eicher Motors (+0.75%), and SBI (+0.62%) are trading with an uptick of 1%.
Ultratech Cement (-1.44%) is the top laggard so far. Infosys (-1.03%) and BPCL (-1.01%) fell about 1%. Adani Enterprises (-0.77%) and Bajaj Auto (-0.78%) are the other losers on nifty.
A total of 23 stocks advanced, and 27 declined on the nifty index today.
