The acquisition of Lumenisity Limited, a pioneer in next-generation hollow core fiber (HCF) technology, by Microsoft has been announced.
The software giant claimed in a blog post on Friday that Lumenisity’s revolutionary HCF product may enable quick, dependable, and secure networking for large, international organizations.
With the acquisition, Microsoft can improve the efficiency of its global cloud infrastructure and provide its Cloud Platform and Services customers with services that adhere to stringent latency and security standards.
The technology has applications in a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail, and government.
