Mindspace REIT designs and develops 1km long skywalk in Telangana

Mindspace Business Parks REIT, owner, and developer of quality Grade A office portfolio launched its meticulously designed, circular, 1 km long skywalk connecting the Raidurg Metro Station to strategic locations in and around the Mindspace Madhapur campus on April 18, 2022.

The skywalk is 1km long and 3.5 metres broad and is expected to facilitate an easy commute for over 30,000 people daily. Shri K. T. Rama Rao – Hon’ble Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & Commerce, and Information Technology of Telangana, has inaugurated this striking addition to the public infrastructure.

The Skywalk has been conscientiously developed with the intent to decongest traffic, ensure easy crossover of roads and improve the pedestrian experience. Keeping the design simple, the skywalk consists of 6 staircases, 5 escalators, and 4 lifts. Skywalk is more inclusive and is designed keeping in mind people with disabilities.

The Skywalk encourages the use of public transport, as it enables employees to alight from the concourse level of the Metro Station, seamlessly access the connected skywalk, and disembark directly at their office building, after a short uninterrupted walk.

Mindspace Business Parks REIT is currently trading at Rs346.21 down by Rs0.54 or 0.16% from its previous closing of Rs346.75 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs347.37 and has touched intraday high and low of Rs348.54 and Rs346.21 respectively.
